How do our programmes deliver value to our users?
“Brand Valley was commissioned to review the activities of the Krafttak for Sang Foundation ten years after its establishment. We are extremely pleased with how the assignment was carried out and have received a thorough analysis of the organisation, together with constructive recommendations for future development. The process was characterised by strong staff involvement, high levels of engagement and, not least, a deep understanding of our organisation and how we can strengthen our social mission. We give Brand Valley our warmest recommendations and look forward to continued collaboration.”
Krafttak for Sang is a national collaborative platform working to maintain and strengthen the position of singing in society. The organisation delivers four national programmes that support singing in early childhood education, schools, elder care and municipalities.
The four programmes are comprehensive and consist of digital products, services and courses.
Objective
Krafttak for Sang sought a holistic evaluation of the organisation as a whole, the collaboration platform, and its four core programmes. The ambition was for both the programmes and the organisation to be strengthened throughout the process.
TYPE OF PROCESS
The project was designed as both an evaluation and a development process. The evaluation involved a wide range of stakeholders and included professional focus groups, qualitative interviews, quantitative surveys, and creative and analytical workshops.
A design driven aPPROACH
The process was conducted as a design-driven assessment with high degree of verifiability. This means evaluating with the aim of further developing the organisation, as well as identifying needs.
Broad stakeholder involvement was central to the process, and design-driven workshops were used both to identify insights and to further develop the findings.
Brand Valley’s expertise in intellectual property, product development and the scaling of organisations was essential in understanding how the programmes could be further developed most effectively.

Impact
The evaluation highlighted the importance of adopting a life-course perspective, as Krafttak for Sang already does. Singing is often perceived as performance or self-realisation, and therefore as something optional. The findings support what professionals emphasise: singing has the capacity to meet fundamental human needs such as care, safety and a sense of community. At the same time, singing as a shared activity is in decline. This underlines the need for a unified organisation that keeps singing on the public agenda.
RESULTS
The project resulted in:
an internal report outlining all findings and concrete recommendations for further development
an external final report shared with the organisation’s 28 partners
The main recommendation was to maintain the high quality of existing deliveries while working strategically to develop structures and secure funding in order to realise the full potential of Krafttak for Sang’s role as a collaborative platform.
The project also formed the basis for Brand Valley’s Skattefunn project Full Circle – Evaluation as a Development Process (2025–2027). A new model for professional evaluation was also developed, in which professional quality is assessed in relation to both the context in which the programmes operate and user satisfaction.
Thank you to Krafttak for Sang for the trust placed in us to evaluate the important work the organisation does.
