Norwegian Music Council – the network of musical life – is a collaborative network and an interest organisation for the music community in Norway. Through NMC’s members, more than 6,400 organisations are gathered under one umbrella.

objective

The Norwegian Music Council wanted to develop a governance document based on the needs of its members.

Type of process

  • Qualitative interviews

  • Survey

  • Co-creation workshop

Approach

The project began with a workshop involving the board. This was followed by a comprehensive needs analysis to identify the requirements of the member organisations. The work also placed emphasis on the desire to strengthen members’ advocacy efforts. The needs analysis was conducted through both qualitative interviews and a survey.

This provided the basis for an ideation workshop with the board, where the insights were presented and further developed into concrete actions. Based on this, a document was produced which formed the foundation of the organisation’s program.

impact

Increased insight into members’ needs

Strategic direction

A governance document grounded in members’ interests

Client feedback:
